UCCA Founder and Director
The Urban Construction Craft Academy (UCCA) Founder and Director is William "Bill" Dozier. Since 2011, Mr. Dozier has been a beacon, a ray of light and hope in the community. UCCA was created after Mr. Dozier saw a group of incarcerated men picking up trash along side the highway. It was then that he decided to make a difference in displaced individual lives and to give people opportunities that they would not otherwise have. He started training young men and women in the construction industry, an industry that he made a living doing and was well experienced and successful in. Thus, UCCA was created. His compassion shows through his now many programs that he offers to under-served individuals. He has helped change the trajectory of many lives at the Urban Construction Craft Academy.
Although the rules are tough and must be adhered to, participants appreciate the structure that UCCA's programs offer. There have been many success stories of former students starting their own businesses and being able to find gainful employment.
Bill Dozier shies away from the limelight but is a man of many honors not only for his philanthropic work, he's also a successful businessman. He has several degrees and certifications including a Masters degree. He served in the Marine Corp where he received the Bronze Medal, he has an expansive training center for youth and adults and he is the recipient of the very first Life Leadership Award (see video below!).
